Under hood compressor recommendations

Not sure if I have enough room under hood for a fixed compressor so have decided on a non fixed at the moment and need some advise on what spec compressor I need to buy keeping it as compact as possible. All of my upcoming off roading will be on sand with mostly beach and pretty soft tracks to the beach.
Also length/weight of snatch/recovery straps I should carry.

I just purchased the 400p from viair. It was $125 open box.

Arb makes a snatch recovery rope that got forum approval. May be a little easier to get since it’s made in your neck of the woods.

I also own a Viair 400P that I used for several years in other vehicles before I purchased my LJ. In my opinion it is one of the best values in 12v portable compressors, especially if you can get one at a sale price which happens frequently on Amazon.

I think enough of the 400P that I acquired a 400H and hard mounted it under the hood of my LJ. See this thread:

Big difference between brands with inflation time, I have been on youtube again lol
Going to buy some soft shackles and is there any reason to use the rope instead of a snatch strap?
trying to keep the gear to a minimum but its only fair I use my own gear to get pulled out if need be. this brand is usually cheap made affordable 4x4 gear but the Thumpers get really good reviews! The first one you can fit an inflator/deflator with gauge to the hose the smaller one you cant you need a separate deflator.
