Hey Guys,
Coming home yesterday and felt the rear was loose. Looks like its been on the way out for a long time. So is it easier to cut this one off and weld in a new one or go back and weld up the crack, brace it with a plate and then go back over the welds on the axle? if its easier to cut out the old and replace what do you go with to replace it? searching around a little bit im not sure what would work with my current lift.

99 TJ 6" rough country long arm kit. stock dana 35 i believe.

From the pics it looks like the steel is in decent shape. Easiest thing to do would be to clean it up, clamp it back in position and then weld it up. Much, much bigger job to replace that mount if it is not necessary. Just make sure the metal really is in good shape.

Clean that bad boy up, weld it and add some bracing to keep it from happening again.
