Vacuum leak

Hey guys been having an occasional backfire through the intake and fuel economy sucking. May also be tied to my O2 sensor readings. So I smoke tested the dash and the vacuum controller is blowing smoke. I find the controllers on Amazon for 40 bucks. Is there a better source than that I should be looking at? Also the vacuum connector to all the vacuum lines may be the culprit so is there a source to replace that?

Well damn thats what I get for drinking and typing. The AC switch that controls vacuum to the dampers. Anyways ordered one off Amazon and its on its way.

So I bought the 36 dollar one off Amazon and the vacuum lines that come with it are about 6 inches too short. I see pictures of them everywhere and they all look too short. Am I missing something? Is there somewhere to buy just the vacuum harness?

What I am finding is the controller changed in 05-06 but not just the connections but apparently the vacuum harness. Mine is an 04 but could have been built in late 04 and have the 05 AC controller. I think someone before me changed the controller and not the harness because what came with it was too short. The vacuum connection is slightly larger causing it to leak at the line connection to the controller. I ordered the one for the 05 and of course it is 250 dollars and not 40. I'll post back when it arrives.

So the new vacuum controller came in and fit perfectly. I still need to smoke everything again. I have one problem though when the AC is on no matter what setting about 25% of the air comes out at your feet. Anyone see this before? If I set the temp knob to full cold it is cold but if you. Ump it up just a hair the vents are still cold but what's coming out at your feet gets warm. Am I looking at a bad actuator?

So is that an actuator, linkage, or maybe the door itself? Just curious before I crawl through the dash screaming 4 letter words. I'm not asking for a definitive but more a best guess.
