Voltage occasionally drops

I have a 1998 jeep tj with 4.0 and sometimes my voltage will drop. It feels kind of random like I'll start it and it will have 14v then at some point it will drop down to the 9v and have check gauges come on. Any assistance on how to diagnose this would be a big help. Thanks.

Battery cables and alternator connections?

May be the alternator. There are places that can load test them while installed.

Sorry It took a while been busy with school. Took it to a place and they said it was bad so im going to work on getting this changed.
