A little short story. Earlier this morning I was riding to the gas station with my girlfriend so she could fill her car up from empty. When she got done with filling it up it cost her a total of $26 while I'm sitting here paying $35 to $40 depending on the gas price. Now I'm not complaining at all because at the end of the day I'd pay the price of gas in my tank any day I just thought it was funny considering how we burn a decent amount of gas and still have large tanks. But hey we didn't buy a jeep because it was fuel efficient now did we.

Yeah, she probably gets 30mpg+. Our TJ's are lucky to get 14. But every mile is a smile. If I had to drive one of those boring cars (i.e. all but about 5 reasonably priced cars on the planet), I'd go nuts.

I completely feel the same way I don't know what I'd do without my TJ.

My truck gets about the same mileage as my Jeeps. It just doesn't bother me much in the Jeep though, I always thought it was the small tank and $35 fill up instead of the $70+ fill in the truck, now I realize it must be SPG.

Trucks can get expensive to fill especially if you have a diesel. My first vehicle was a little vw jeta and it took only $20 to fill but when I finally got rid of that and got into the jeep I always wanted even though the gas was more and filled often I still wouldn't go back.

Trucks can get expensive to fill especially if you have a diesel.

At the peak of the high fuel costs, I put in just under $150 into the 30 gallon tank on my Dodge Cummins. I was spittin' venom, let me tell ya...

Would you imagine a doorless topless TJ cruising at 80 Smiles Per Hour? Hell No !!!!

I'd rather want my TJ to drive slow as-is so I can enjoy every drop of fuel I put on it... will stretch my smiles per hour.
