Welding helmet

I have a Miller digital elite, I can tell a massive difference in this vs the others I’ve tried of buddy’s. It’s pricy, but the quality of life is worth it to me. Part of why I got this one was Covid supply issues, there weren’t many of the cheaper ones around - so I had an easy justification mentally.
It will last forever too. We run digital elite through the entire shop now. The last Jackson lens died about a year ago. The oldest elite is 4 years old and sees an arc about 8hrs a day.

We have two infinity’s with the 3.5 head gear and one is mine. The head gear sucks. I’m going back to the elite or getting a different head gear. I cannot get it adjusted to stay on my head

I made a living for 37 years as a certified welder. When my eyes started to go I just worn reading glasses. But as far as hood goes, you get what you pay for and a top of the line adjustable / auto darkening hood is the way to go. You can also get a magnifying lens.
