What are these?

I’ve never seen these things till I moved to Texas and there always seems to be one somewhere. Been here for almost 2 years and I still don’t know what they are

ahhh I see it now. I agree, looks like a wasp nest. We get them here in CO too.

Yep mud daubers mean little fudgers. break them off and crush them in the winter to kill the hive.

Yes, pilots know them well. They really like pitot tubes.

We call them mud wasps. They are pretty aggressive. We get them on the concrete foundations of homes and drainage culverts mostly.

We call them dirt daubers here in GA. Not agreessive at all though.

I'm so beyond confused. When I look at the photos I see a close-up of dirty machinery, sort sort of fuel lines, etc.

I don't see any wasps or wasp nests.

Glad to hear it’s just wasps. I thought it was spiders. Way better situation

Dirt daubers here in NC. Anything that sits still too long they make into a nursery. I don’t know when they do the daubing cause I can’t say I’ve ever seen one in action.

Ones in Texas don't do anything but cause a nuisance. You can let your Jeep sit for 2 days and you could have 1 or 2 underneath. And you'll hear them building the nests too because they're constantly buzzing.
