What did you do to your TJ today?

They need a little cleanup and some fresh paint, but for 125 bucks, I couldn't go wrong.

Today is a sad day. My TJ is on its way to the new owners house. I need to carry far more than a Wrangler can, so it is back to a Cherokee for the time being. I WILL return to Wrangler ownership asap.
I hope you guys don't mind if I stick around here till then.

Sorry to hear that @KenR955. But TJs aren't always the most practical vehicles when you need to move stuff and people. But just think of it like this, it will give you a chance to search for a TJ that suits what you want to do. a cruiser for around town or maybe a TJ for mudding. either way you will have the opportunity to get the featurers (or color) that you really wanted the first time.

I bought a Warn M8000 winch today to replace the Chicago Power Tools winch my ARB bumper came with. I had called around trying to find a control for it, no luck. The fairlead was rusty so I stopped at a local four wheel drive specialist to buy a new one. Fifty freaking bucks. I figured rather than put fifty into an iffy winch I'd just swap it for a big, well know brand. Plus it's brand new, has a warranty and the shop is a Warn warranty support vendor so if something goes wrong, local shop will handle it.

I wanted synthetic rope, but she asked me what kinda work the Jeep will do. I shamelessly admitted that it's likely going to pound pavement most of the time, as the only place I know to legally wheel is hours away. I'm not into mud, I'd like to learn how to rock crawl and she said synth rope isn't really wise over rock as sharp rocks could fray it and I have to worry about sun UV and keeping it clean. I thought it was weird though, a salesperson talking me into a cheaper product lol

Getting it installed Tuesday. Oh, and the guy plopped it down on the counter and said "Want me to carry it to the Jeep?" My manly pride said "no, I'm good"... then I went to pick it up. Yeaaaa... I changed my mind :D
