What did you do to your TJ today?

I used some to seal water out on some rocker guards I bought several Jeeps ago. I sold the Jeep and the guy thought he missed some bolts while trying to remove them. After 5 years, the silicone had to be cut to remove the guards without pulling the paint off.

WOW... Nice...
I have used Silicon RTV on a few things with good results...

Rafters spacing didn’t exactly match so I want to reinforce it a bit and the top should come off today.

Had the same system in my last house and it worked perfect. New owner had a Jeep so asked me to leave it.

Ran the hot lead from the BlueSea fuse box on my battery post to under the dash - for the yet to be purchased/installed CB radio. Nice and overcast here until the exact second I went out to do this - and the damn sun glared down! *grumble*

Changed my spark plugs, they were definitely over due. They were supposed to gapped at .035 two were over .080 and the rest were over .060.View attachment 173649
I’ll play what’s the gap on your plugs today!!
040-060 Not sure if there’s really a winner tho! Haha
Definitely feels like an improvement with fresh plugs.

Interesting side note a 2002-2006 Mini Cooper cover fits real nice (The mirror pockets line up perfect) for those who want to keep debris/light rain out while the rig is parked topless over night. Got mine from CL for $30.
I’ll post a pic in the AM.
I never used it on the Cooper. Up cycled to the TJ. Current photo has the TJ w/ soft top on with full doors, back “window” Is in but the soft sides are out. Been on/off drizzle and inside is dry. It does Cover 3/4 of the Spare

i hope the kicker speakers sound great with the JVC units i just bought the cs 6.5 rears and 5.25 front to go with this jvc unit i just put in a month ago JVC KD-T900BTS ill be installing in a week or so after returning from the lake
They do sound great! At least compared to 16 year old factory speakers. I def think I need to change out the factory sub soon with a powered sub or perhaps the kicker 6.75 that a lot of people are opting for and hook up a new amp as well.

Did what the cool kids are doing. Adding a higher output alternator from a Durango. Denso 210-0679

Was this a plug and play OR did you need to modify the mounting brackets ?

The 160A will also fit if you want a bit more although there's nothing wrong with the Denso. I don't know if they are just playing games with the numbers on these but for example the Delco 3351287 is rated 160A among others. You can just browse any of the 01-06 Durango 4.7L 160A replacement alternators, they all should fit.

Edit: don't know for sure about an 01 but this works for an 04
