I use my 2' HF breaker bar whenever I try to remove a torx (aka star) bit without stripping it.

Typically I replace the windshield but the last time I did that I left my jeep down there and they could not find it/ That’s sort of scared me off.

I used a 1/2 inch impact on mine. Didn't strip or break the snap on torx bit.
Are you able to apply heat to it? Bought this little Harbour Freight torch.

I found these for cheap. I can toss them on the half doors if it looks like rain in the morning. I need to see if there is something that will clear up the plastic without scratching it.
It beats getting wet.

I've been using the Plexus line for years. They have a few 'cuts' depending on the severity of the scratches. Once You're happy with the finish you can use the Plexus detail spray to keep them looking good. Works on the tail light lenses, the gauge cluster etc...
