I changed my HB, chain/sprockets, and seal last month.
Did you see a splash guard behind the crank seal? Mine didn’t have one.

It should have an oil slinger behind there usually mounted next to the crank gear if that's what you mean. I haven't had the cover off yet, I took the pic last night at my stopping point and hope to continue today after work.
I replaced the driver's side interior (full) door latch with a brand new unit. I am also replacing the interior door release with a new one when it arrives. The existing release handle spring has broken. Hopefully these replacements will last as long as the originals. I didn't snap any photos. It wasn't a difficult job, but it took a while to get the bars to the release handle reconnected.
Mine didn’t have the slinger. Someone from the past may have screwed things up.
Went wheeling with a couple friends, the snow part of the run was a hoot but all I have are dash movies. And been obsessing over which rock sliders to get. GenRight $$$$ vs CavFab $$. Trying to hold out for a Sale or at least free shipping from GR.
There’s many ways in which attorneys play a part. Not everything is crime or injury related like I tended to imagine it in the past. Some attorneys are leaches and some really help things. Depends some on the specialty and mostly on the person with the license. Just like any specialties there are snakes and there are the good ones.
Just look at mechanics…it’s easy to find one, but not so easy to find a good and honest one.
Put some aluminum hood latches on. The flutter was real going down the interstate in tornado class winds the other day. These seem nice and tight so hopefully they’ll work out well.
Checked off quite a few things today, took the day off from work since it was going to be 70 degrees out .
-rebuilt the np231 (new bearings and chain)
-tossed on a new Adams rear driveshaft
-changed the motor oil
-changed diff oil
-did a alignment
-set front and rear pinion angle /caster
-power washed the bedrug carpet
-tossed in a rough country forged track bar due to the high recommendation from Jeep west, replaced the bushings with moog and 14mm hardware
-rebuilt the np231 (new bearings and chain)

It’s everywhere- Not one of us can change the entire scenery but we can be the change we want to see
Not telling you to get one, but a hood louver greatly reduces the flutter if that's still an issue down the road.

Got the wheels properly torqued and balanced. Big thanks to Blaine for teaching me how to install beadlocks.

Started installing my BMBs. All new up front, just calipers in the back since I did everything else recently.
Frustrating how slow I go but I like to take care of rust and other issues I find as I go. I’m flushing each corner to get the gunk out of the lines before connecting them to the new calipers. Then once they’re connected I’ll bleed them all again. Time consuming, and fluid consuming, but might as well keep the old gunk out of the new calipers as long as possible!

Removed my intake manifold to inspect it for leaks. Looks like whoever the PO had rebuild the engine didn’t do the greatest job. I don’t think it even has 15k miles since the rebuild.

Don't know about Kincaid, but when I put the Kentrol latches on, the flutter stopped. I think most flutter comes from the rubber hinge straps.
Here is daytime (in the garage) and night time. The 3rd brake light is, well VERY bright. I got the taller mount for it, but I think I'll stick with the one as it is installed now.I'd like to see the lights lit up if you are willing to share more.
And I've got to get a warranty replacement for the ORO taillight. The passenger side has some dead LED's in it. Sucks since they've only been installed for 2 weeks.
It’s tiring and takes way longer, but putting in the extra effort to do things the right way is always worth it.
Yea I didn’t even think about that but I can see how cutting slots in a kite could help with the aerodynamics lol I could just picture the 27 year old latches giving up the ghost going 65 mph down the interstate lol so far so good with these latches but I haven’t been on the highway yet so we’ll see how that goes.
