Novak Conversions Jeep Wrangler TJ engine mounts

What did you do to your TJ today?

You're offering them for free? I'll take a pair.🤣
I think there’s a queue forming
season 9 episode 20 GIF

Replaced upper and lower rear control arms and lower front control arms. So thankful things came apart smoothly! (minus one brake line support bolt)
It had very squishy, darty handling. It is better now but I may need some more work.

When I did mine it was like driving a different Jeep afterwards…great little upgrade

Finished my gear break in on the front. Nothing catastrophic happened setting the gears a few thou deep. Installed a Barnett diff cover. It might have clearance. Gonna have to check.

Cut a lot of trees in the way of trash pickups.

Used my Jeep like a service truck. Ran the dual Viaairs for 90 minutes straight inflating my bead seater to 125 psi...which was hooked to my neighbor's 1 inch conduit trying to push a foam mouse ~180 ft from one box to another. Definitely something in the middle. Ended up packing a few hundred feet of pull string into the conduit and not accomplishing much.

Been slack on doing things to the TJ, mostly just driving it but I did finally add a sticker to it which I've had for about 11 years.

Also noticed that the headlights look like Hella H4's, are these the standard factory lights or did someone swap these in prior to my dad buying the car years ago as I know he didn't swap the lights out before I inherited it.

Mine came with factory Hella H4's.... not sure if that's an Export jeep thing

I’m an ex- sign painter ( signwriter) so I have to label everything

Sadly, a dying art. As many here know, I did a stint as a paint/body mug for a bit in a previous life, and in that line of work had the opportunity to observe these skills in action. The local legend from my stomping grounds was a man by the name of Len Dick. I was fortunate to watch him work on more than one occasion and I was always impressed. He made it look effortless, but the master craftsmen always do, don't they?

Yes, master Craftsman do make it look effortless, I however make it look like I'm trying to push gravy uphill with a fork....but I get there in the end . :p
I try and keep my hand in and where a simple job would take me less than30 mins now takes an hour....I'm trying to teach myself pinstriping at the moment...now that is hard !!!

Finished the install of the BMB 16 kit. Absolutely loving them. Pulled the wheels for a inspection after the 1st set of break in procedures. The brakes produced a little dust during the process as to be expected.

Put the tires back on and did a quick brake check and the tires barked like I have never heard them bark before.
My issues was not being able to stop rolling on extreme down hill climbs during off-road trails but I do believe this solved multiple issues with stopping in general.

I was also curious as to how clean my old calipers were as I do annual brake flushes. Not to dirty, looks like the old system just couldn’t keep up.

My buddy came over to help with the install. He runs the Currie 9” axles front and rear with 37s. He will likely be inquiring on a upgrade.

Was actually the other day, just been too busy to post but gave her a bath. She still looks good.

Last Saturday had my first real experience with a rusty vehicle. My niece wanted the rusted side steps removed from her Pathfinder. I thought 8 bolts no problem. They were so rusted some of the bolt heads just rounded out. Tried drilling a hole and using an extractor on one no luck. Ended up using cutoff wheel on one set of the brackets. I have a whole new appreciation for you all in the rust belt states.

Well, from the photos it does look like you've got the lettering covered alright. Agree on the striping. It's one thing to work in a local area, but when you're running the length of panels or the whole vehicle...bad day at the office if you've got the shakes.

Be "Big Daddy", Danny... :D

I'd seen some questions about the position of the B&M short shifter. I'll try to dig up that thread, but this is mine with the Barnes no-lift bolt on skid, no BL, no MML.

Plus with a large McD coke. Seem to recall someone asking about a giant gulp or something.

Really tempted to get this shifter. The 1" BL means my shift knob is closer to my cupholder now which means I can't use my preferred travel mug...

Big daddy Roth is one my idols.....Loved what he was doing in the 50's and 60's... nobody else was doing stuff quite like him. And dont get started on some of the color schemes he chose. Just and amazing artist.
The Tradesman who taught me Signwriting was an old bloke who had the DT's (basically the shakes) ..he would shake until the brush hit the board and then boom, silky smooth ,clean passes with the paint.

I dropped from about 7' my roof top a few months ago. It fell as I was lowering it from garage ceiling. Had to repair it and decided to change paint scheme, now white on outside and black on inside....should be a lit cooler in summer in Atlanta. Just got in back on today in time for winter weather!
