I'm out checking on some parts to make these things adjustable and serviceable (hand throttles)
I hear people say from time to time they don't have anybody to go wheeling with... Take a little time to help the other guy fine tune his setup... The next thing you're going to want to do is go test out what you did.
Clay is a great guy... He is a high caliber machinist and you know he's not afraid to cut into a piece of metal. He's so good at what he does and they won't even let him be on an earlier shift... Because they know that if something doesn't get done on first shift Clay's going to get it done on second.
If you wheel a manual in my opinion you need a thumb throttle.
They really aren't that hard to do it takes more time to round up the parts than it does to do one.
I wish we had measured his cable as a reference point for future ones... But we will do that if we make some tweaks to it.
Give me a TJ Rubicon manual and a thumb throttle and I'm a pretty happy guy... Or an automatic and no thumb throttle is wonderful too.
My Amazon in the mirror rear backup camera for 129.99 is just fantastic it's actually better quality than what Ford used to put in the trucks because the screen is a little bigger. If you want success with a backup camera stay away from wireless models.
In the process of doing my rear lights I have an extra lead so I'm going to plug in a cargo light that also serves as a service light or it can be used for camp setup by being magnetic and being able to place it anywhere on the back.
C range tires on this 06 are all I think about lately... It's got a nice set of Load E Mickey Thompson's on it but they are so stiff they really make the suspension way too busy.
Even with 24 PSI.
You guys have a great weekend...Bird it was awesome to have you up and I look forward to seeing you again.
@Hog scored a bunch of nice parts for next to nothing again.
If you hang around him you won't run out of stuff to do because he'll get the stuff to do it with.
