What goes here on my 2001 4.0?

Went to replace my IAC today and noticed this hole, looks like something screws into it. Anyone know what it is?

Optional threaded point for something. Most vehicles with cast manifolds have un used bolt holes.

Do you have cruise control?

I'm .... 97% certain that's where the cruise control bracket mounts. It also shares a point with the fuel rail.

On my '01 Sport 4.0L that same intake manifold threaded boss is empty and my Jeep has cruise control.
I agree that this threaded boss is for some other Jeep with an application that the TJs do not have.
