You could start w/ 2" spring spacer blocks "BB" (Budget Boost) for cheap and a 1-1 1/4" body lift.
Rancho RS 5000X shocks. You're in it for about 400 bucks, that'll get you started.

I had an aussie in the front and one in the rear. now I have detroits. Not a thing wrong with an aussie in the front on the street. As long as you live where there is no snow and ice all the time a automatic locker is fine in the back as well.
