Idk again it's different for everyone. It was more of a mix of the two for me but I'm still happy in the end because it all helps motivate me for my future bc I want to work on cars and design. And trying to do it all myself gives me something look back on

That puts you into a different level than most of us who just like wheeling and getting outdoors. Pretty sure we all have passions which led us into great careers and some of us into debt. But yeah, a TJ is great place to play. Glad you are here rather than experimenting on Hondas 'cause I really want someone to build another TJ !! ..... Like this...
I agree! It's great to start with a vehicle like a Jeep, especially a TJ! When I was young in high school, all the kids were tuning Hondas. I look back on that now and think about how lame it is. Had I only known about Jeeps... Fortunately for me, I was messing with BMWs, so probably a step above Hondas at least.
I'll tell you what though, when I was younger, I was stupid with money. I couldn't save a dime if it killed me. At 34 now, that's completely changed. Weird how things change the older you get? @C.J. Roberts is right though, it's all about experience.

First, what tires is he running and what gears is he running. If steel rims broke the bank..... ???
You build your Jeep for what you want to do with it. Everything comes down to that question. If you tell us what you want to do with it, then we can tell you how to spend your $$$. 
Is this Jeep going to be on or off-road or both? If both, what kind of trails will you be running? If you don't know go try some. This will tell you a lot.
You're from FL so sunny skies, beaches might be close by? Are you getting on the beaches or do you plan to? If so that salt will eat your TJ alive. Better think about fluid film or POR to protect the frame. That would be a first for me...It doesn't sound sexy, but it's essential to protecting your investment.

Save up. JEEP - Just Empty Every Pocket.
All depends on personal preference. Some easy/cheap stuff: I pulled the chrome stuff off of mine (individual preference). Pulled the plastic end caps off the bumpers and added the small end caps to keep out water (some) and complete the look a little better. I pulled my center dash piece, gave it a light sanding and painted mine a flat silver. Para cord door stops or grab handles are cool.
Little more expensive options : Maybe a stereo or a sound bar. Seat covers change it up a bit.
But at the end of the day you can do as little or as much as you want and it's still gonna be an awesome Jeep!

Yea thanks man it's true. And I think I just wanted to get the tough stuff out of the way and get the fitment I've always wanted, now that that's over I can do the easy small details

Yea for me it's more of a beach cruiser, I did minor suspension mods just for ride comfortability and to tighten things up, but again after this track bar I just installed I don't think I'll be touching underneath any time soon now I want to focus on things such as fluids and others you stated. in the end I'm loving it either way I think it's a vehicle everyone should experience

Your jeep looks awesome. I agree someone said fender flares... Bushwacker's are nice and clean and changes your look, makes the Jeep look a little more jacked up. Then consider bigger tires....go 35..... more off road aggressive. Keep at it until you spend more on the add ons than the original jeep price. Then you're committed 'cause you'll never get your money back so you better love it. You can always cancel your apartment and move in to your jeep.
