I’ve been keeping my eye out for welders and a Millermatic 211 popped up on FB marketplace for $600 today. Is there anything I should look for in a used welder?

If it's in good condition and it works, that'd be a great welder. I have the 180 amp version of that welder and its Autoset function works really well to help automatically set everything based on the thickness of steel you're welding.

$600 is ok for that machine. Though if it were me, I'd look for a machine that takes full sized reels of wire. If you don't do much welding though, it would probably do. Those little spools get spendy.

But do test it before you buy it, a machine with problems is no deal.

Miller or Lincoln are good brands. you can't go wrong with either.

Its wire spool size is like what any welder of that size comes with which is plenty big enough for a non-production welder.
