Okay new to this so bear with me. So I was replacing my oil pan gasket and my rear main seal I look up into the block should be number one cylinder and I see all these dings on the Block itself. I check piston rod ran my hand all in there and I didn't feel anything what could these things be?Or what are they from I also when starting up a straight-6 it's got a little Clank to it when it warms up it goes away and the noise is in same spot. Lmk what y'all think. Thanks

What exactly are you seeing? If it is the rough surfaces compared to the smooth machined surfaces, that is the raw texture of sand casting. It's the same finish as the outside of the block.

Okay on the last pic if you zoom in close you can see some dings about midway's right hand of the picture up by the piston let me see if I got some better pics but if you zoom in on it you can see the Shining dings almost like a piece of metal come loose or something got caught in between there

Ok cool thanks fellas. Running good. No oil leaks. Think its mud time and maybe Bud time.
