Yeah, eastern Colorado isn't exactly the place to get someone hooked on Colorado.

its hard to leave Fairbanks AK, population 40k next closest town is 7 hours away, and end up in Denver.

she drew a line and said nowhere inside that line. Then she found like one of the only houses for sale in Feb of 22

That makes sense. Closest we really have to that other than the plains is the Northwestern and Southwestern part of the state. Did you grow up there as well?

Military, Grew up in NC. don’t much care for the east coast. but that’s where family is. last duty station was in Fairbanks. was able to stay for 6 glorious years.

Got a job offer in denver. i prefer it out here. figure that’s half way between NC and AK

I always forget that Fairbanks is a military town.
Doesn’t Kansas run all the way to Denver?

😃
I wish we had even half as good bird hunting as Kansas. I've spent too many days hiking through fields with shotguns and seeing nothing but the biggest jackrabbits I've ever seen.

I'm curious, did you have an epic time getting out of there, or did you leave your ride parked and take in the incredible views?
I must say, the place looks absolutely amazing! It's always a great feeling to escape into nature and enjoy some quality time with friends.
And if you're still on the lookout for exciting destinations, I recently stumbled upon the Lake Clementine Trail, thanks to MK Library. They've got some fantastic recommendations. This summer, I'm planning to explore it as well. From what I've heard, it's a hidden gem waiting to be discovered.
