I wouldn't even know how to move forward at that point. You certainly wouldn't want to take it back to that shop. And, WTF, they couldn't buy the proper length bolt after realizing they misplaced the origninals? Wow!
In general that is not the mark of even a fair mechanic. If the shop has a manager he should be made aware, although my guess is he already knows about this guy.
I already pointed out all these mistakes to their manager so he is aware.
I found body mount bolts that had spinning washers that meant they were too long. The front mount bolt was missing and it explained why my front end was flopping around. There are a few other mistakes that I had to fix.
Not too highjack, but since the title of this thead is "where do these bolts go" I thought I'd post this...
These were "left-overs" from my clutch replacement / transmission pull project. Its been a couple months since I've done any work to Rubi and I haven't noticed anything negative...but these are still picking away at my brain...
