Which Rancho shocks would you recommend?

Hey guys, I'm piecing together a 2-2.5" lift kit. I have the set of 2" coil springs, adjustable control arms, and adjustable trackbars. I've noticed Rancho has two sets of shocks one set (RS55240/ RS55128) which is listed for 0" vehicle height. But there is also a set of shocks (RS55239/RS55241) which is for 2.5" vehicle height. I would like to fit 32" tires. My question is which of these rancho shocks would fit my needs?? thanks!

I'm not sure why you're confused. I'd think the shocks designed for a 2.5" lift would be ideal in your situation.

Consensus on the Forum is that Rancho shocks run long, the 0-2 inch shocks will probably fit best.
I see. Would there be any issues running the 2-2.5” Rancho shocks with just 2” coil springs??

Not if you add the proper amount of bump stop extension. The down side to that is loss of up travel and an unequal travel bias. You don't want the shocks to bottom out at full bump.

That right there. Personally, from having had two sets of Ranchos delivered that were too long despite a modicum of research, I'd stick with the 0-2" for your 2" lift.

Thanks Jerry for your expertise. I continue to hear the shocks run a little long. I contacted Rancho today for their advice. They said with Rustys off road 2” coil springs I should be good to go with the 2-2.5” Rancho shocks.
