Which upgrade is next?

@JMT thats kinda the way I’m leaning. I’m very interested in these brakes everyone is talking about though.
@mrblaine 😂
Running 35's you just wouldn't want to get on the skinny pedal much if you were on ledges or in mud, it might not be a good day. You can carry some stock shafts, but I find that a lot of people don't do that, it's just talk. It's pretty much a rule that 35's merit chromoly shafts front and rear.

Brakes are also an issue. It's a lot of rolling mass to stop, and stopping distance is important. It gets longer the bigger the tire, which I'm sure you know. It solves that, plus, it's very helpful offroad.

Do it in the order you want, but just know what is going on and why and make your decision. In the end you'll do it all it sounds like

@JMT thanks man. Yea eventually it will all be done. I’ve been researching the big brake kit and everything I’m reading convinces me that it’s necessity, even though my current brakes are “good enough” right now. Plus after @mrblaine explained the parts availability and ability to run certain 15” wheels, it makes it even more attractive. Plus I thought it was cool that the man himself didn’t “push” the brakes on me and told me I’d most likely be ok without them as long as I can lock up my fronts. That was cool of him. That honesty sold me on them. However, I think I’m going to do the axles first and get the use out of these brakes I currently have and when it’s time for new pads/rotors I’ll upgrade to the BBK. I’ve still got a little while to decide, but as of now I’m leaning towards axle shafts first then brakes as the next upgrade.

@Mumblewood hahahahha! Yea man I’m not a huge fan of them either. Some of the LOOK good on some rigs, but I’m not after looks with it. It will be needed when we take the jeep somewhere on vacation. So it will be functional. I just want one that I can take off easily and only put it on when I need it.

Axle shafts. Get the axle shafts out of the way. Most of us end up needing to. May as well bite that bullet now. It’s a worthwhile upgrade...
Seat covers as well. They will give you something to always notice and feel like you actually did something. A lot of the upgrades we all do are hidden and out of sight. Nice new covers are a relatively cheap upgrade that is worthwhile and shows itself. Plus it’s always nice to protect the seats that are prone to wear on the outer edges where most of us are constantly sliding in and out...
If your brakes are currently working well then maybe make that upgrade a phase 2 project...
All other upgrades can be prioritized as you can afford them...
