Whistling sound while accelerating

OK. Driving across the country i have a whistling sound. It seems to be linked to my acceleration. I go faster , it gets louder. I have had variable success with mechanics here so i would appreciate your advice on where to steer them, I wonder if it is a leak in the vacuum system. The whistle is high pitched and goes away when i am not pressing on the gas pedal. Thanks guys.

Partial air obstruction in the air intake system? Air filter ripped?

Hey Leinhit good thinking. I checked. The air filter was replaced before the trip and is locked down tight. Much appreciated

Does it do it only when driving or also standing still and giving it the gas?
