I went through basic with a fella of surname Eagleclaw from New Mexico. He had quite a few tales about why he joined the USAF to escape reservation life. One of his favorite Dave Chappelle bits was the one about all the natives passed out in the Walmart parking lot on the 1st of every month because he lived it. To stay on topic, he also changed his own oil. Presumably on a Cherokee.
