Just have to vent quickly. My wife left last Friday to tend to her Dad. He was scheduled to have heart surgery yesterday. Why did she leave Friday for a Wednesday procedure? She and her 2 sisters are all hypochondriacs and overreacting to Covid. She is the mildest of the 3 but still going overboard. So I juggle the kids hockey, dogs, work, etc. Yesterday the hospital postpones the surgery while he is sitting in prep. She comes home around 4pm. I had spent some time to prep and paint parts for my tummy tuck and bumper. They were on a work table just outside of the garage. She decides it's a great time and place to give the dog a bath. Fast forward and I will now need to sand and repaint parts of the bumper because it was damaged. Oh, and now she's heading back to her parents early next week to do this again so I have to cancel a sales call because I have to be here for the kids virtual schooling.

If having to repaint and cancel a sales call is the worst that happened, you're doing pretty well. Vent away...

Being married and raising kids isn't supposed to be easy. Just try and keep your priorities in perspective. My guess is that your wife is carrying a lot on her shoulders right now and didn't mean to screw up your freshly painted parts. Sometimes we've gotta "die to self" and support those we love in their time of need. Hang in there man.

Sometimes the wife may test you, what is more important her, or your "widget", in this case a Jeep.

Just vent here and let it out, none of us will be angry with you!

Last week my wife placed what appeared to be a leaky bottle of apple cider in the rear footwell because I have rubber floormats, and that's what rubber floormats are for...you know, to catch 32 ounces of liquid, instead of just putting outside of the Jeep.

Agree, vent here and right it off as painting practice. Not sure how long you have been married but not be the last of this type of thing....hang in there.

Heart surgery is pretty serious. He's not going to the hospital to get a cut stitched up. I'm sure she is freaking out and not thinking clearly. Yeah it sucks you have to rearrange your schedule, but that's very miniscule compared to what a lot of people are dealing with right now. I have friends who went to work on a Friday, and were told not to come in on Monday because their company is shutting down...

All I hear is virtual schooling and roll my eyes.

Our kids have been in school for two months straight now. They just finished their first quarter of school.

Same here, smooth sailing the first quarter. Which is surprising given the prediction 2 months ago!

Same here, except I cannot roll any more

Well for one, if people would stop getting themselves tested, that would fix a lot of the bullshit. IMHO you shouldn't be getting tested unless you are seriously ill or have very serious, flu like symptoms. A lot of these idiots get a slight cough and go get tested just because of that.

Obviously I am keeping my fingers crossed, but IMHO keeping younger kids out of school is seriously going to hurt their education, their families, and our society. That in and of itself is one of the biggest political failures ever.

They can't expect grade school kids to actually be learning virtually.
