Wildman's TJ is getting a face lift

I’ll have to dig out my harness this weekend and look. Plug n play would be convenient.

You'll have to refresh my memory here.... This was a custom harness or is it a GM based harness for your LS?

Keep us updated on your leg, I hope you get better soon man

Thanks & I will. Shouldn't have gone on that trip but I wanted to test the Jeep out more. I'll see what the doctors say tomorrow.

It’s a GM harness setup for the specific engine, trans and computer. All GM, all plug n play. Not integrating with tj dash or computer, it’s all going away.

OK... I'll get you a picture tomorrow. Even if it's the wrong plug with that kit off Amazon it'd be an easy fix.

Read that article on brushless fans as it explains a lot about how they operate. Positive and negative wires are hooked up ONLY ONE WAY. It's not like a brushed fan where you can swap the leads and make it run the other direction. And then you have to apply a signal to one of the smaller terminals to make the fan come on. If your PCM has a fan control function you're good but if not then you need a brushless PWM or a specific type of thermostat like the one made by SPAL. As talked about in that thread the Camero fan is reversed from the aftermarket fans in how they react to the signal.

While I've been laid up I've been gathering a few parts for the trailer since I'm going to hopefully be using it more.
Yep I know I'll need to do a new a deck soon. Plan on it next spring at this point.

Ordered a storage box for the front. Been wanting one for a long time.
Will have to relocate the trailer battery box.

And some D-rings that fit into the stake pockets.

And a spare tire mount for the spare tire I'd finally bought that also fits into the stake pockets also.

Let's see if you can cram as much stuff in that box as @NashvilleTJ!! Will the spare stick out further than the trailer tires?

Just looking back on some stuff from a couple of months ago.

How do you put a gauge on your trans and what do you suggest?

Blaine brazed a bung into my 42RLE pan (he also sells them now with a bung already), add in whatever style transmission temperature gauge you like (I did the Jeep branded one).

Similar to what Blaine does I welded a bung into my transmission pan instead of brazing it. They also make bungs you can just drill the hole with and they clamp onto the pan with washers on either side to keep it from leaking.
As far as gauges go I have a AEM to match my wideband gauge but you can use whichever brand or style you want. Autometer sells one that says JEEP on the gauge if that matters to you.

Since you have a 30RH I don't know if there are any aftermarket pans available or if they offer bungs for a temp sensor.

Well my leg is finally almost healed... So I'd decided to go to the local Cars & Coffee today.. Was a beautiful day out and there were about 30 vehicles there... My Jeep was still dirty from my trip to MT but Hey it's a Trail Rig so it's supposed to be dirty right?

Stopped at the Cottage Cafe for breakfast with Karrlie before the event & she had to get to work too. But this beautiful CJ3B was parked out front when I pulled up.

Viper!!!

Yep, And the guy was fun to talk with... This was supposed to be the last event of the season but they said if the weather holds for Oct they'll have one then also... My leg isn't too happy with me right now but it was worth the trip & time to go...

Had a younger guy with his 2 kids come looking at the Jeep and asked if the kids could in the drivers seat... I of course told him sure...

What's wrong with your Jeep? It looks like it's all bent up.

Do you EVER have anything worth while to say? How about explaining in plain English WTF you're trying to say...

By all bent up are you meaning because I have it leaning to one side? It was set this way to show off the way the suspension can move.

I do. Air bags are great on cement trucks.

And air springs are GREAT on my TJ.... You don't have to like it... It isn't your Jeep or your money... Isn't it great that we can all do thing the way we want? It'd be boring as FUCK if everyone built their rigs the same way.

You can make dumbass comments but I didn't hear one person at the show say anything negative about my Jeep...
