Windshield weather stripping

Trying to figure out why there is a big gap at the bottom of the windshield weather stripping. Filler clip missing ? Or weather stripping shrunk ? 2002 TJ.

The clip is gone.

Looked for a clip on line and on YouTube videos. All I see is continuous rubber seal with no gap.

I really can't remember if my TJ had a clip or not from the factory. However, they just cut it so that the two ends meet when they replaced the windshield.
