So when I bought my 98 TJ a month ago, everything was working great. But now, the windshield wipers will only work on high. The motor seems smooth with no strange noise when it is working, so I’m thinking the switch. Any ideas?

Take the plug off the wiper motor and use a digital multi meter to test for DC volts, there should be voltage for both low and high speed,. Indicating the motor is bad and not the switch and vice versa.
I just replaced my motor, found it on Amazon for about $50
Thanks for the help! I took the cowl off, found a stripped screw that I ended up fixing, found a literal rats next under there that I vacuumed out and cleaned up. Pulled the plug apart, played with it, and it started working again. Must have been a bad connection in the plug. I sprayed it good with electrical cleaner and plugged it all back up and I’m back in business again. I guess we’ll see if that fix will last.
Free fixes are the best....
while you have the cowl off make sure you clean the drain where the rain water goes down and drains down to the ground. Otherwise you'll get water backed up and into your cab.
