My TJ was vandalized and the windshield wiper was pulled off so that the wiper linkage assembly was damaged.

The motor still works.

I bought a new linkage but the mounting holes for the motor are spread out in a larger pattern than the original.

I bought a new motor thinking it was just just a change in newer parts.

The new motor’s mounting bolts would also fit on my old/broken linkage but not on the new one.

I can’t return the linkage. I’m fine to get a new motor but how do I know if I’m getting one with the proper mounting pattern? This must be some small adjustment in model year but I don’t know where to start.

Would appreciate any advice.

Welcome

I assume this is for the front.
Based on Ebay, it looks like there might be a difference between 02 and 03.

Yes it’s for the front. I MAY have found a solution. I ended up purchasing a new motor for an ‘03. It looks like it will fit with the linkage and the plug also looks right. Just need to put it all together. This may end up being cheaper because I think the legit ‘01 linkage costs more than the other linkage and motor put together.
