Worth Trading?

Well, I just did what you are thinking. I sold a 2000 Sahara that I lifted, added bumpers and tires to. Since it had a Dana 35 and I wanted something better, I sold it for a stock, a little lower mileage Rubicon. Cost me an additional $3500 for the Rubicon. I just lifted the Rubicon and installed new bumpers. Nothing else is needed and it was totally worth it to me, but everyone's goals are different as are their funds.

Only reason to trade a Sport for a Rubi is IF you really want, need the Rubi 4:1 Transfer Case. And be sure you want that 4:1 cause your wheeling will change dramatically after you give up the Sports 2.72:1 Transfer Case ratio.

But yeah get lockers for sure. If you keep the Sport you could do e-locker. I think thats a better, simpler choice than the TJR air lockers.

I use my lockers every week but we have no "rocks" here. Any steep grade lockers help keep the clawing and scratching to a minimum.... which equals "tread lightly". Even in the winter lockers are great going thru deep snow.

Thanks guys! I greatly appreciate the comments, opinions, and information. All valuable!

Think I will go sit on the boat for a few days and contemplate it...

Hopefully, if you decide on the Rubi, it will still be available.
