Is an auto-locker supposed to engage both wheels?

If you don't want to pull the cover an interesting test would be to see if you repeat this but with the driver's side spinning. You can do this by hitting a hill at an angle where the passenger's side is higher so there's more weight on that side.

If the driver's side spins then it's acting like a regular open diff, which should be impossible with no spider gears. This would tell you the locker wasn't installed.

If the driver's side can't spin and it's clearly still driving on the passenger side then the locker was installed wrong and is only engaging the dog teeth on the passenger side.

Already had a consensus it’s wrong. Ran around the yard this morning doing extreme turns in both 4hi and low. Steering wasn’t tight. Turned short radius like normal. Dry pavement run 4hi from stop it pulls extreme left instantly. It’s all kinds of not right. If I had the tools and a garage I would just do it myself. Dropping back off tomorrow.

Gave it the run around real good today. If you crawl up to an incline 4w no gas pedal and then depress gas to go up doesn’t lock from a stand still. Passenger Just spins on loose river rock. If ya get on it prior to incline it Engages. Which still seems to Need a slight adjustment maybe or I need to learn how to wheel?

Its normal state is locked. It only unlocks the outside side during a turn. Once you're going straight again it automatically locks back up.

That’s what I thought. It’ll definitely need an adjustment then.
