Thinking about deleting all that junk. Pros and cons of all. Just want to make room for some storage...
That type of mindset is outdated many years now..there are reasons for emissions stuff on our jeeps and removing then will do nothing but cause issues.Thinking about deleting all that junk. Pros and cons of all. Just want to make room for some storage...
My 2002 has its evap system on the drivers fender and takes up a lot of roomI'm still trying to figure out what smog equipment we're talking about and what else I would store there. Behind the passenger rear fender and next to the transfer case just don't seem like convenient places to use for "storage".
It's not like there's an egr and smog pump cluttering up the engine bay or something.
And it will continue to set a SES light every time the vehicle’s PCM meets parameters for performing EVAP tests.Interesting, if you're mechanically inclined enough it's OK. You'll have to add some resistors to replace downstream o2 sensor if you have one. Upstream you'll install a viable resistor to adjust your fuel mixture. If you want things can get really cool and get crazy mpg
I gotta ask - would you please explain this one?Interesting, if you're mechanically inclined enough it's OK. You'll have to add some resistors to replace downstream o2 sensor if you have one. I would never jeopardize my reputation and company by doing this. And it will continue to set a SES light every time the vehicle’s PCM meets parameters for performing EVAP tests.
You will set codes for large and small evap leak, leak detection pump, etc.
The only way to prevent this would be to have a someone with the skills to shut off all the evap system in the PCM, and there is no one that I know of that would do it, including @Wranglerfix .
Are you looking for those crazy MPGs?I gotta ask - would you please explain this one?
I was thinking or hoping it was sarcasmI gotta ask - would you please explain this one?
What else do you need to put there that can't go some place else?My 2002 has its evap system on the drivers fender and takes up a lot of room
Crazy for me would be double digits! Are you looking for those crazy MPGs?![]()
Nothing really, maybe a toolbox or something.I just had a code from it,redid a few of the soft hoses codes gone now,it was the 90degree going to the vacuum check pumpWhat else do you need to put there that can't go some place else? View attachment 299986
There's lots of room for storage between the front tires if you take the motor out.Nothing really, maybe a toolbox or something.I just had a code from it,redid a few of the soft hoses codes gone now,it was the 90degree going to the vacuum check pump
