I bought a VIC=20 when they got to around $150 or so. Wanted to see what you got for that kind of money. Quite a bit, actually. One of the nicest keyboards I've ever used on any computer - and far superior to anything made now - esp. the awful Apple keyboards of recent years. Trash-80s had decent keyboards once they switched to ALPS and figured out their debounce problem. The Apple ][ line had good keyboards as well, but not quite as good as some. IBM ruined keyboards for all time, which was a shame as they actually had the best keyboard ever devised: The IBM Selectric typewriter. Fantastic keyboard, IBM really screwed the pooch when they introduced the PC with an absolutely horrid one.I remember the "Trash 80s", at least that's what we called them in school when we got them (early 80s). Good old "Tandy Radio Shack". We ended up with Commodore V-20 for our first home computer, followed quickly by the 64 model... I never did get too interested in them but my brother moved on to the 128. I still remember writing the Bouncing ball and hot air balloon programs... Wooohoo!!![]()
