The GOAT.
Now that I am close to having the cash to buy beadlocks and tyres, I need to settle on just one brand. I am leaning toward Mickey Thompsons but .......
Damned right, not even close.
I'm running Mickey Thompson Baja Bosses on the blue jeep and am happy. I do have a set of MTR's on order so I can eventually compare but had I not ordered them I'd probably put Baja Bosses on the red jeep too.
As for beadlocks, I like my Trailready's that's what both jeeps have.
Hahaha. I have finally decided to go with 17" rims. I might be going Racelines as the shop who did my re-gear are a dealer.

My bad. I thought you said you avoid them when possible. I was just sticking up for the minority. I agree it should be based on quality of work or product without question. Whenever I run into a bad deal, business, customer who is rough or does not pay, I remind myself, wherever I go, there I am. It is usually my doing or I missed the "warning signs"
Just a opinion here, but I like my BFG MT's!! Only had one flat in three sets, back in '97 on my Scout. My tires earn their keep too, overloaded and I like rocks.
The MTR is still not available in a 35x12.5x17, either. I am leaning hard towards the Mickey Thompson Baja Boss.
Hopefully before TJFest, so I can have beadlocks and hubs in Moab. I just need to muster the courage to place the order.
I’ve got bosses on the blue one and they got me through Moab and the Rubicon last year with no complaints.
My MTRs I ordered in May are supposed to deliver this month but the red Jeep build hasn’t started due to lack of parts.
So I can’t compare them yet.
The money and the sudden avalanche of projects involved with getting beadlocks and hubs installed on my rig. None of it is straightforward.Is it courage you're lacking or something else?

I have been eyeing M/T tyres. I have was close to buying bead locks and tyres. Till I bought the RJ steering.
That means more seat time doing stuff on 31" tyres.
Good luck finding a set of Mickey Thompson’s. Most of them are back ordered for a while.
It doesn't matter they won't sell him tires, because they will think he is an Australian just by the way he spells TIRES!
