What did you do to your TJ today?

After staring longingly into her headlights, dreaming when my latest set of mods were done, I installed a metra double din dash kit with an atoto F7 pro stereo, love it. Some hacking and a few rubber spacers needed to get everything seated well and tight, but think it turned out great!

I have a very strict variably rule…generally won’t take the jeep out without top and doors when rain chance is greater than 40%…unless I really want to!

Drove through three rain storms keeping top down two weeks ago returning from PA…despite having all the pieces. I think most would have put up the top at sight of the first, nearly everyone after the second…and then there’s me! To be fair though, at speed the mesh too keeps quite a bit of rain out
I live in a sort-of sub tropical place and been caught out a couple times...once in my beach buggy and twice in the TJ (no mesh though haha)....Its not bad while your moving...but no fun at traffic lights haha

Yes, fortunately last time I was on highway all three times! Many times have been caught with top down in stop and go traffic…maybe I should revise my rule…NAH!

I ordered a cab cover for topless rainy days. On sale on Amazon for like $71. Supposed to be delivered tomorrow so looks like I’ll be pulling the hardtop off tomorrow and putting on the extended bikini top for a trip to the river.

Finished drilling and bolting up my sliders.

Thinking of running some clear silicone around the top edges to prevent fine dust from getting between the slider and tub.

Also reinstalling my rear fenders...PO used small screws and only the top ones...ordered some 5/16 18 stainless pan head screws and more stainless nutserts.

Debating on painting the rear fenders black. Or the sliders white. And silicone.

Or maybe rear armor before I drill more holes.

I’ve done the silicone route but I’ve found using foam weatherstripping tape along the backside of the rock slider along the top and another strip where it contacts the body towards the bottom works much better. Minimizes the crap that gets between the slider and the Jeep but it also prevents scratches to the body from the metal to metal contact.

Edit: sorry about the double quote

Thanks to @TheBoogieman for the link to Alpha Graphics.

Just a bit ago my father helped me out with putting my first sticker on me Jeep. Thanks Dad ! Been a long time seen I have applied this style of sticker. Next time I'll park the Jeep in the shade.

Relish the time you still have with your dad. My dad passed last Nov at 96. I still feel like I need to go and help him with his house or yard. It's weird and I miss him.

I've used one of these on my '06 LJ for the past few years. I take the top off in the spring and leave it off until fall. I use the trail cover at night. Works great and keeps the jeep dry inside. Mine has the extended door covers.
