Hey guys I have an opportunity to buy a used bumper and swing arm Tire spare tire carrier. I'm I run 33 s and I may run 35 later. Would this be a good add-on for my Jeep?

What brand tire carrier and bumper? I know some jeepers will tell you no because the swing arm hinge system is not designed very well. Give us a little more information about the system, is the part that holds the tire adjustable, does the bumper have recovery point mounts, hitch system, weight?
I'm about to go look at it and I'll report back. In about an hour . But no recovery points. But I'm running a factory 97 tj bumper with a toe bar attached to the frame under the bumper now.

Yeah, what brand and photos? I don’t like the bumpers with the built in tire carriers personally. I prefer the Exogate or OR Fab style carriers.
I don't know, it pretty much looks like every other one I have seen. FYI - I run one and I have ZERO problems with it. Much better than hanging a 33" or 35" wheel off the stock tailgate hinges. I would say if the price is right get it, but for me the price would need to be well under $200.

that one looks pretty heavy duty. I would probably take a home built one over a manufactured one any day. It may be a little heavier, but I would bet it is heavier duty also. I personally bought a Dirtworx which is a home made bumper. I really like it, and I am running 31's with steel wheels on it, but wouldn't think twice about running 35's on it,
The only issue I see with your bumper in the picture, and it is probably not an issue since you are running 35's, but there is no hitch. You can probably buy a factory type hitch underneath if you really need one, but I really like the look of the integrated hitch in the bumper.

Not for a good quality one with bearings on the swing out arm where they should be present.

I have the ARB rear bumper and swing out tire carrier with hitch and recovery points. No rattles and no complaints. It was a lot more then $300.
Probably can't go wrong if you could pick that up for $150. The finish needs needs some refurbishing, and you should get some frame tie-in brackets, but that's no big deal. I personally like the Exogate type carrier also, but that one should do what you want.

I believe that everyone running any aftermarket rear bumper should use frame tie-ins. An inexpensive mod that performs very well.

I did get if for 150.00 ill clean it up and freshen up the paint. make sure the bearings are greased good. probably get some frame tie ins. may put some D ring mounts and have them installed properly .
