Hello all !! I will be in the process of swapping out my old 2.4 to a 5.9 magnum engine. I really want headers and side pipes on this TJ. I know I know, it will be loud. But who drives a jeep for a nice quiet ride anyhow!!
Had anyone done this?? I've never done an exhaust job myself, so its been challenging to know what headers will fit.

If you're talking about something like fenderwell headers like the old CJ's & Flatties, had I do not see any way to do it on a TJ.

I guess if you wanted to get rid of the whole fendwells and custom build some headers you might be able to.

Here are headers on my 5.9 (stroked to a 6.7)

It's a tight fit and most people do not run shortie headers like I have. They either do block hugger center dump or stock exhaust manifolds. Also most people do not run a dual exhaust.
Also how are you going to run the catalytic converters with side pipes? Or it isn't a street rig?

That looks great!! I love the way those headers look! Yea, there doesnt seem to be as much room in the TJ. Ive seen short enough cats that were welded just before the cherry bombs

Anything is possible if you want to spend the money and time. Plus have to have the tools/equipment to make custom headers.

Yep, I've got a short cat for mine, but I'd hate to try and run a dual exhaust on it down the driver's side as there isn't a lot of room there. But I'm also running 3" exhaust, so it takes up a LOT of space. If you do a search, there are a few Dodge magnum V-8 swap threads on here.

What did you do for the steering bracket? Looks like you had the same issue I'm dealing with that it hits the headers.
