Color thoughts on Electric Lime Green?

Totally agree, buy what you like. I have a tendency to buy white and green vehicles. I have had a lot of vehicles over the years (40-50). Most have been white, several green, only two red. When I bought my latest truck my wife talked me into medium gray instead of white. She's never coming with me to the lot again. I've threatened to trade it in because its not what I wanted.

For myself, I *DETEST* white vehicles. We've only ever owned one grey vehicle, and although it looked ok - and far better than white - NEVER AGAIN. The grey blends in with the road too well, people don't see you! The various beige, darker "creams", etc, etc can be OK, stark white looks like a company car and is boring. I too like green.

I get it, everyone likes what they like.

Last truck was pearl white, car before it was alpine white. Had a few silver vehicles too.

Just don't dig the current gray truck.

I like white, always have. But I get it about the stark white work truck. There is a difference though in that kind of white and the more pearlized and off-white shades.

Boring? Maybe, but it stays looking cleaner longer and I think I remember stats about it being either the easiest color to resell or that the resale values are highest on average for white.

For Jeeps, I agree with @Claytone . Jeeps can more easily get away with loud colors. When I got my ELG TJ, the comment I got quite often was that the color was great on the Jeep but wouldn't work on any other vehicle. (I fully suspect some of them were avoiding offense )

I definitely wasn't looking for a teenage mutant ninja turtle green Jeep, but I think it might be my favorite Jeep color now

Currently have a 2004 TJ in Silver in great shape, been looking for a Rubicon for over a year. Just found a 2004 with 80k miles for $14.5k in Electric Lime Green. Been in Texas its whole life and frame looks good. Clean title (not salvage).

Personally, not a huge fan of the Electric Lime Green color, but wanted to here y'alls thoughts? Thinking I could do a vinyl wrap if it really bothers me. Do you think Electric Lime Green hurts resale?

Buy it, one thing about Electric Line Green is you won't see yourself going down the road in other direction 100 time a day.

Lime green is trendy now but will it still be as popular and easy to sell years later? I think not.

I didn’t buy my TJ with the intention of selling it.

That’s kind of like buying something based solely on it’s return policy. I try to avoid that.

If that does happen, I figure there will always be someone like me looking to buy, with the color at the bottom of the list.

I was born a wheeler dealer and 1 of the first questions I ask myself is resale value. I realize I'm different than most though

i’d drive it! better not look too long or someone else will be driving it. my khaki jeep was definitely not my color of choice but low mileage and being extremely clean won me over. i call khaki metallic dirt!
