What do you guys think about this steering?

Local jeep shop just opened up near me (THANK GOD) and is probably the nearest jeep shop in a 50 mile radius. They have this steering setup that they have created and say that it is the best of the best. They are so confident in it that they say if it bends or gives any problems that they will give you a full refund.

It’s relatively low price compared to currectlync which is my primary choice.

Also what’s the consensus on crossover steering?

The pictures of that steering assembly on their website does not impress me....
Personally for that money; I would go with a ZJ conversion.
Last year I installed a used Currectlync steering assembly and the quality/performance is quite good.

If you read most of the posts on here about crossover steering you'll find it isn't liked or recommended as it causes more problems than it solves. Most that have installed crossover steering end up taking it back off.

In order to have minimal bump steer (involuntary steering wheel movements and subsequent scary handling caused by hitting bumps) the track bar and drag link must be as parallel as possible and as close to the same length as possible. Crossover steering seriously compromises both of these and will cause very poor handling at speed. As mentioned the zj steering kit and the currie currectlync maintain the originally designed length and parallelism of the factory steering.
If you want crossover steering without the poor handling, you would have to redesign the track bar and the axle side track bar mount to match the crossover drag link. If this jeep is a low speed crawler trailer queen then you won't have to worry about the handling attributes I mentioned. Good luck.

i thought a cross over steering setup was a big no no.

Its a big no no without a good reason is what i have learned. Which at this point most of us dont have any need for crossover. The currie is just a beefer stock setup. Usable up to 35s. I saved for it and it was worth the investment.

Crossover is a no no on a stock TJ axle because it screws up the relationship between the drag link and the track bar. This can easily create bump steer. And inverse T style crossover steering creates tie rod roll which causes a dead spot in the steering. And no, this is not permanently fixed by stuffing the tie rod connections with things like the Cure.
