I was thinking the same thing. Not a technical spot at all. Looks like it was near the Tin Cup turn. Lost a Lone Star Jeep Club member in that area about 15 years back from a large rock that fell through the top from above. I think there's a memorial for him along that part of the road.

Tried to install Gabars on my 05 TJR today but the half moon of the steel that wraps under the roll bar needed another 1/4 to 1/2" to fit. Sending it back, I neither have the tools or the patience to play with something that's supposed to fit. That's why I bought American made

I'm finally putting the needed 1/4" spacers behind the spare tire bumpers.
It's been about a year that the spare has been floating in mid air, bouncing off the lower bumper at every opportunity.

Oh, I also finally ordered the Titan sealer to see if it will put this RMS leak to bed.
I got a quote from my local dealer to do the work, and lets just say that this leak is a pain in the ass, but it's not a $1,700 pain.
They also want another $400 for a 'tune up'...
