I un-did the unthinkable...

Yes it does lol.

I guess the guy traded it into the BMW dealer for a BMW M4, haha. I was talking to the sales guy and he was telling me they literally just got it on trade in. But I checked the CarFax and it is indeed a one owner vehicle that was bought brand new in Washington state.

Dang! This thread went viral! Congrats on the school bus purchase brah. My JKU buddies hate it when I call their "Jeep" that, lol!

I'll have to share a video I took while in Moab. 2 of our crew were in JKU's. Went everywhere us TJ's went, and then some. Something about that longer wheel base and tippy climbs and such.

Hey guys... it was either a minivan or a JKU... which would you choose? :risas3:

I almost went for the minivan, but then I remembered how much my 5 year old daughter loves riding in the Jeep during the Summer. I figured you can’t put a price on happiness and childhood memories, right?

I also though I read something somewhere about being able to put a third row in a JK.

I'm jealous! I'd like to have a JKU. With a 1 year old, and another baby on the way, my TJ gets cramped fast.
JKU's are wicked expensive. And once I have my wife's 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee paid off this year, I'll be debt free minus the house. I won't be making payments on a vehicle ever again.

OK, here's that part number I was going to share with you @Chris. Dorman 917-992. It's an oil filter bypass valve fix. The 2012 and 2013 engines can break the poorly designed bypass valve when you change filters on ocassion, and the stealership wants a stupid amount of money to fix it. This part is about $20 give or take, and will repair the issue in about 10 minutes. It doesn't happen very often, but you are down and undrivable until it's fixed. Chrysler changed the design for 2014 and solved the problem. Cheap insurance.

You're going to love your new ride. What's the first road trip going to be?

Haha, fortunately my wife loves the TJ so much that it wasn’t hard at all to convince her to get a JKU. Convincing her I needed the Rubicon model was the hard part!
Did you take the dealer plate off the front yet? And they didn't have to drill that in did they? I hate when thy put the front plate on. Is Oregon mandatory front plate state??

I should have my tj paid off in a few months then I'm driving it till the wheels fall off. I enjoy watching other ppl get new rides now haha. I have wasted thousands on down payments towards vehicles. Makes me sick honestly, but I have become wiser. If you have the cash and you want to do it I'm all for it, but I just don't need that beautiful 2 door JLR with 2.5" lift and 37s hahaha. Not today anyway. Congrats on almost being debt free. It's the American dream!

Yup, Oregon is a front plate state, but you usually have to run across a bored law enforcement officer to get hassled about it. Or drive through Beaverton. It's like rear view mirrors and wide tires/narrow fenders/mud flaps. No law says you have to have'm but you can get pulled over sometimes, just 'cause.

I'll definitely do that! Last thing I want is downtime!

They didn't drill it in, but Oregon is unfortunately a mandatory front state plate. Funny thing is though, I haven't run a front plate on my TJ for years, and never once have I been harassed.
