A good friend of mine from way back was the second unit director on Smokey. He did a lot of the car scenes. Lots of interesting stories.

Agree 100% . . . . My imaginary '55 would have a cage, radiused wheel wells, flip nose, moderate leveling, deep dusky rose primer paint, and a streetable dual quad 392 hemi. ;)

I'm with you (y), I'd just want my cubes in the 530 range with a big polished blower, and an obnoxious switch to open up the exhaust now and then. ;)

While I can appreciate your choice, I'd prefer something a little less flashy...and a lot less Chevy! :LOL:

'56 Ford with a Chrysler 413 in it, backed by a 727, in front of a 4:11-packed 9" rear end. I could stand for a little less rust, but still, this is more to my taste...

A 413 is cool !
In the old Mopar way of thinking , I lean more towards a dual quad 426 Max Wedge. But a blown 392 would be cool too!

I have to laugh at all of us , like any of us has the time and resources to pull off our bench racing pipe dreams! :oops:
