need a recommendation for cheap shocks for my tj.
3" lift, 31's ( goodyear wrangler w/ deep at type tread ) daily driver never go offroad

Go measure your shocks at ride height and pick the ones that your measurement falls closest to the middle of. That’ll give the best ride

Get the Ranchos. Check ebay or amazon warehouse for deals.

Length doesn't really affect ride.
While the longer shock may give you more down travel (that you don't need).
The shorter one will keep you from bottoming out the shock in a pothole.
Plus, IIRC, they run long anyway.

I’ll only say they’re no longer ‘cheap’ if you have to replace them twice.
