just replaced shocks to Rancho's. Rake still there. I'd rather level it out with simple coil spacers. The jounce cup distance is a normal 4". SO, front tire to fender is 4.75". Rear tire to fender is 6.5".

Do spacers have a ratio of some sort or do I simply purchase a 1.75" spacer? Any preferable brand/link? Saw a decent pair at

Just purchase how ever many inches you want to raise it.

Looks good to me. When you drive, rear squats.
My OME springs compress very easily, full tank, tool bag and 4 rims in the back and it is leveled parked.
Other than that, what Tom said.

Shocks don't effect lift height.

You might be okay to the metal fender, but not the flare.
I don't think the front and rear hang down the same amount.
Plus, they flex.

ahh, yes. so maybe do a 1.5 then. Much appreciated.

What exactly do you mean I might be ok to the metal fender.
Also, those measurements i stated were from the tire tread to the bottom of the fender flare.

now that I think of it, that naked pic is deceiving since I don't have the Hartop on and a 1/2 tank of gas.
still seems a slight rake tho from this pic

You can't compare the spacing between the tire and flare (front to back) because the flares aren't the same size.
Use a straight edge to measure down from the top of the flare and you will see what I'm talking about.
Jeep probably does this so the factory rake isn't as noticeable.

Shocks don’t hold up the Jeep in any sense, so they can’t be used to level it. The springs are what hold up the Jeep. You can add a leveling spacer to level the Jeep.

Ahh, gotcha. so front from tire to top of fender is 8". Rears are 10". I have essentially a 0" suspension lift. Just have a 2" BL. Those ranchos are good for 0-2" lifts. So i assume i'd be almost "maxxing" out the ranchos if I put a spacer in. Maybe I shouldn't mess with anything since the hardtop and full tank of gas levels it out

The rake looks just right to me in the pic with the top on. I wouldn’t change it. Also, great looking Jeep, BTW.

Just adding a spacer (or longer springs) isn’t quite as simple as it seems. You may also need longer shocks to keep your ride height near the center of the up/down travel. In addition, don’t forget to reset your toe-in and track bar length (if you have an adjustable track bar) to keep your steering correct and axle centered.

No, 0 -2" means it will still have sufficient travel on a 2" lifted vehicle.
I doubt you would really want to add any more than 1".
If you try to make it perfect, it will be pointing up when you put any weight in it.

A better suggestion.
Get rid of the 2" body lift and coil spacers and get new springs.

A body lift doesn’t require longer shocks. If you have 0” suspension lift then you need a shock for 0” lift. If you have a 2” body lift, you still need a shock for a 0” lift.

just replaced shocks...

I know you haven't had it long, but you might want to verify what modifications were done to accommodate a 2" body lift.
Some of the things to look at are transfer case linkage, radiator and/or shroud placement, vent lines, fuel filler, etc.

I do have the 0-1" rancho. Ranchos sell for 0-1", 2-3", 3.5", 4-5"

I don't really feel like dealing with Shocks, cprings, bumpstops, adjustable track bars, a SYE (Slip Yoke Eliminator) , rear upper and lower adjustable control arms, and a DC driveshaft. I just want to enjoy a simple stock ride for a couple years. I've already replaced all the axle ujoints, ball joints, tie rod, track bar, dampener, and some other bushings since NOTHING had been replaced on this 230k jeep I bought.

Then again, I guess I could just do a transfer case drop and skip the SYE, adjustable control arms, and DC driveshaft🤷

At 2” SL, you don’t need a DC, SYE, and adjustable CA’s. Nor do you usually need to drop the TCase.

Will any of the ride comfort change if I remove the BL and put 2" springs? Essentially, I have a comfort ride equivalent of stock right now. Or am i just thinking waaay too much on this subject
