What did you do to your TJ today?

I figured I would go ahead and change the oil before we head to the beach this Friday. I got a sample to send off to Blackstone Labs to see how well the rebuild is breaking in. Fingers crossed for good results lol I just got over a thousand miles on it since installing it back in May and it seems to run well. I’m sure the 9-1/2 hour drive to the beach will be the true test.

Did you taste it? That's always a good indicator...

Dialed in the DA control arms. Front was done last weekend. This weekend was the rear and then flexing all corners to measure for shocks. Going Skyjacker Black Max B8549 & B8563 to maximize flex with the Currie/Savvy 4" setup.

First time in 2 years the Jeep's been on all 4 wheels and having the axles dialed in. Measured for front & rear driveshafts. Putting in an order to Woody's.

Flexing the front

Flexing the rear Driver side - checking for clearances. TB just barely misses the GTS bolts when at full flex & on bumpstops.

Rear Passenger at max flex. This is my biggest limiting factor. Lower DA is at it's shortest possible length. May need to trim once I get the flares on and see How much could be removed...

What control arms are they?

Went for drive on Sunday…then met up with a mate for venison burger and chips with gravy.

Took a page out of @All 4 Wheelin' s book and welded up the T bar for the top lift and a flat strap for the back so I can close the rear window when stored.

Washed off the winter crud and got it dressed for summer.

Need to find a Safari Bikini top that will fit my 2001. 2 came with the Jeep, but one was for a CJ and the other is too loose, I think it is for a JK. The BesTop one is listed for 2003 and up. Why wouldn't it fit on my 01?

This looks like a much more affordable version of the Outback Adventure table Nelly installed in his post above. What gauge steel and wire did you use? Does it rattle at all when closed? How do you stow it? Cheers

I used .125 6061 t6 aluminum sheet. The cables are probably 20ga vinyl sheathed. I haven't installed the storage fasteners yet. Using 12mmx6mm molybdenum magnets glued to the table.

I just purchased and installed a MasterTop Bimini plus top on my 2000. Ordered it on Amazon for less than $80.

Impressive quality and fits good and tight all around.

I have a Bestop Bikini top on my '97 right now. I just put it on after it being rolled up for eight years. Cant remember if they called it Bikini, or Safari, or Bimini . It goes all the way back to almost the tailgate.

Probably a safari top, since bikini tops cover less area. 🥳
