Dude, should have gone to Lower Glidden with us on Sat. Nice easy ride for breaking in gears. Thanks for the 4.56s btw.
Need to wrap some bailing wire on there for some extra stiffening.
This is more of a "what did I do FOR the Jeep, vs TO it. No pics from Saturdays run, but I do have one from Sunday's run down to Oregon to pick this up.

The run to Oregon got the "sitting on the garage shelf but never installed" Dana 30 ARB for $600 and they guy says oh wait, I have the master install kit for it, brand new 4.88 gears and brand-new brake calipers. I swapped in a Dana 44 and don't need them, here you take them. Feeling like the 6 hr drive to Oregon and back turned out pretty good! Who says Jeepers don't look out for each other? VIVA LA JEEP!

If there's a name you can trust in the Jeep aftermarket it's HQPASFY.
They are a well respected company, they became famous when they patented the Fuking socket
The new deep transmission oil pan just arrived. So, do I blow off work for a bit to install it, or wait until later?

I got out and drove mine today for the first time in a bit. We went on a trip out of state for about 8 days and then I went straight back to work when we got home. Felt good to flip the top back and take a drive into town to run an errand. Maybe get the family out for a sunny drive this evening?
Went for a nice drive yesterday and now see about 1" of the tire instead of mostly tire. Wife is going to love it, gotta keep her happy she says it's her Jeep.
Funny you ask, I have a brand-new set of Dana 30 4.88 gears for sale ;-D
Unfortunately, that's the part I wouldn't want/need either! I plan to go 4.56s eventually but for $600 that's still a deal for everything else! lol
Blew my head gasket in my 2.5. Smoke out the tailpipe and a small pool of antifreeze under the broken Jeep. So now it's time to take the top off, and take a look. ProMaxx head or Clearwater head. Whatever the case I'm ready to get going on this. Having a Jeep that sits in my driveway gives me a feeling of impending doom.
I finally got around to getting the propper hardware since the 03 is different and the belly skid is now in!
1. Got the new deep transmission oil pan installed.
2. Got the clip out for the oil sender unit
I'm still waiting on Amazon to deliver the new oil sender unit, and the differential gaskets. I hope to get at least 1 of those done tonight depending upon the delivery.
EDIT: Amazon delivery is running late and I've already taken a shower. The OSU and the diff stuff is waiting until Tuesday.
