Most anything that’s really fun doesn’t make good sense financially or otherwise. Most of it you can get hurt, thrown in jail, hung over, pregnant or somebody else pregnant-
Most of the people that really don’t understand what this is about I don’t want to hang out with anyway.

I don't mind this thread talking about "Will it ever stop?" as long as we don't decide to start disclosing how much money we have in our jeeps.
LOL because then the love for the jeep starts to hurt. LOL

I bought my Jeep originally from a retired USAF guy that did all scheduled maintenance religiously. I've spent around $1,800 over 7 years in actual repairs (not mods). Most of that expense was because I can't work on my vehicles where I live. My work cars cost me more than that every year. I liked the Jeep so much, I've bought it twice. That made up for the repair money. I sold it for $14,000 and bought it back 2 years later for $9,000 with only 1,200-1,400 additional miles on it.

I couldn't afford a Jeep until my kids were in their 30's, didn't even cross my mind while they were home!
when I was looking for a TJ I just wanted to go have fun with a buddy as we have gone wheelin before but we both have a TJ now. I only wanted to get to where I have now which is great but now I am looking at built axles and eventually LS swap it and it will never stop. Its hard to stop especially since I have a welder fabricator specializing in motorsports.
Welp... After I win the lottery... I'll keep my TJ in it's current configuration... but... I will build an LJ from scratch out of all aftermarket parts starting with a complete rolling chassis from G/R (only way i could afford it!) lol... LS/tons/42's on a 115" Tracer platform. I just won't have a Jeep Vin # .
Until then... I will keep upgrading this lil TJ

My wife mistakenly assumed I had $60,000 in my Rubicon- All that did was tell me I had 30 more thousand dollars to spend
I paid $34,000 for one and didn’t even flinch - Because what I got meant more to me than the $34,000.
Is all this smart?
After a long day in the construction business getting in one of these things and going down the road with no top and the radio on - It’s hard to put a price on that.
To answer the question will this ever end? I hope not.
When we bought ours I decided to tell my wife what Jeep stood for, then I told her I did a rough tally on everything that I plan to do over the next couple years and it was roughly what we paid for the TJ. She probably thinks I'm crazy for sinking that much into a 26 year old Jeep, but she'll understand eventually!
LOL... I have no hope my wife will ever understand... but I don't understand 3-5K on a purse either... all I can think is... "that's a lot of Jeep parts!"
