Need advice on 2006 Rubicon purchase

After relentless searching for the past 96hrs I think. I found my diamond in the ruff.

- 2006
- 100k Miles
- 6sp
- 4.0L
- Tires new 500 miles ago
- Original Owner
- 2 tops hard and soft
- 70 yr old Woman owned
- 18 pages of service records from Day 1 - same dealer service it from day 1 - the sent me all.

$10k -

In Massachusetts. - I am in Ohio... Will purchase this sight unseen

It will be shipped to me.


I will attached the pics I I have - some rust spots on fenders - this was disclosed to me before me asking - I did request additional of underneath and engaging.

This will not be daily driver - occasionally taking it out to the trails.

I welcome all comments please and advice.

I'd never buy any Jeep sight unseen, especially from a rust-belt state. They can't take pictures of inside the frame for you.

Fenders are an easy fix. I'd be more concerned with frame, torque boxes and tub rust. It may be worth looking into an inspection service.

Would a normal inspector know the problem areas with a Jeep-

I have a 18 pages of every service that was done... New radiator, New ball joints, O2 sensors. …..a bunch of stuff 40 oil changes

I wonder if calling the dealer that service from day one could help.

It couldn't hurt, but they still wouldn't know how the inside of the frame looks.

Why don’t you just fly out inspect it and drive it home. It would cost about same as shipping it. $10K seems like an OK price. Even if it is bad you should be able to flip it and even make back your transport price.

I agree with you and a Rubi for $10k seams to cheap. They go for around $18k +/- in CA

17yrs divide 100k = only < 5900 per yr / 52 = 113 per week / 7 = 16 miles per day

I'd guess flat towed behind a moho similar to the one in the pic, driven around wherever they traveled and to town and back when home.

Yea but since she only drove it on Sunday's to church that's 113 miles to church and back, Something sounds fishy to me JK.

Looks like rust flaking between the skid plate and frame from what i see. Price is probably discounted because of rust. More pics of the frame and undercarriage would be good. It could be a basketcase.
