The thieves who stole my previous TJ never even tried to start it. Witnesses said they just backed a flatbed tow truck up to it and used the winch to drag it out of my work parking space and up onto the flatbed. Said to have taken less than a minute.

I cant't remember the last time a vehicle was stolen in my neck of the woods, but people do steal items left in unlocked cars here. My luck someone will steal that anti-theft plug and I won't be able to start my Jeep.
I never noticed the drywall screws holding it to my dash HaHa.

I had a 1995 suburban that had a theft lock in it. That was the name of the device, when you unplug it the vehicle would turn over just not fire to the coil so it wouldn't crank

Ignition kill switch. Had one in my 65 chevelle. Easy install and cheap. Jegs and summit racing sell them between 30 and 70 bucks. Plus when your get you jeep to go faster than 12 in the quarter mile you already have the roll cage and now you have a kill switch....boom. lol

Ground, constant 12v, and the starter wire from the ignition switch.

Here's another good anti-theft device I ran across on the internet years ago.

I've searched the Internet and came up with nothing, so I just leave it alone so I don't lose it.

I have intimate knowledge of Electro-Lock, unfortunately. I used to install a few versions of those harnesses.

I would at least move that to a more hidden location. No need to advertise that you have something.

I'd be somewhat worried about someone taking that "key" if they found it. I'd probably just pull the screws, duct tape around it to hide that it's there at all and tape it to some other wires up in there somewhere.
