Precisely. This is a Jeep frame that has lived in mid CA most of its life. It has been like this the last 5-6 years I've known it.

Have the RetroBrights for a little over a year so sharing my thoughts... I still love them. Zero complaints.
I installed LaminX film over the lenses to protect the polycarbonate. Had no issues with them freezing over at any point last winter. If you're looking for a great set of headlights, modern technology that are old school period correct visually, available in a variety of color temps, I highly recommend these.

Lighting is not something I want to cut corners on. Not looking to waste money, but I also don't want shit lighting. Why anyone would do anything like tint, angry eye covers or the like, that would limit output is absolutely beyond me.The Hellas are half the price of those. I might go that route soon.
Went right over it. The LaminX is available in a few thicknesses. In the past I used the heavier (8 mil maybe?) film for head lights and fog lights. This time I used what I believe is 3 mil. Thick enough and soft enough that it will absorb all but the most brutal impact but thin enough that it covered the raised letters without issue. I'll post a picture later. How did you deal with the raised logo when you installed the LaminX?

I'll probably get the Holleys, just can't decide between the 3000K and the 5700K. The 3000s did look pretty good in a video I saw. Thing is I literally drive my Jeep about 2 to 3 times per year after dark and some of those times are on the beach. It's not my daily driver. If I recall the 5700s have more lumens but I'd need to do the research again. Headlights kind of got pushed to the back burner on account of lots and lots of other stuff popping up, plus the fact that it gets driven primarily during the day.
As promised. How did you deal with the raised logo when you installed the LaminX?
Thanks, they look good. I used 3M film on my Sprinter and it was hard to fit it as they are curved in an unusual bulging way. I wonder if Lamix is more stretchable.
Maybe a heat gun could help?

So....after two winters in NY, any issues with snow/freezing over? Also, do you daily your TJ?
I did an H4 upgrade last year with a KSuspension harness and the difference was huge. But being over 50, I like the idea of more illumination at night.
No question these lights hurt my pocket when I bought them
The high beam is nothing to write home about though, I almost never use them. Kind of disappointed in that, and I've re-aimed them a few times just seeing if it made any difference.
Maybe not, but I suspect they're still better than the highs with my H4's. In the photos posted by @MikekiM previously, the high beams sure look pretty decent to me...

That's what I thought from looking at his pictures, but mine do not look like that at all. I even questioned if I had the housings installed upside down or not aimed high enough.
